How would you imagine yourself living alone in this intricate world?
On one hand, you would feel so liberated to do all the things you want to do. No one’s controlling you. Neither anyone nor anything has domination over you. Perhaps, you would think it would be easier for you because you are not responsible to anyone or anything. The issue you could only think of is you. Only you.
On the other, living by yourself is just similar to burying yourself alive. Come to think of it, how can you imagine yourself pulling away from the society because you would wish to be alone than to socialize? It’s not just our nature as humans. Men are by nature social animals so that more than any doubts and fears one would feel from his within because of the idea of being obliged to others is totally absurd. We can’t just live alone. We’re only humans. We live to seek for harmony not for egocentricity.
A clear manifestation of this is our active participation on several organizations we belong, from the simplest to the most complex ones. We live with our families. We acknowledge the needs of each one and gratify them. On the next level, in the academe that we belong to, we actively contribute to the welfare of the school and meet them. We take part to different organizations we think that would blend our personalities and interests, whether these are plain academic or purely social. In these organizations that you are part of, you are highly confident that most of you carry the same line of pursuit so that unity is met and harmony is maintained within and among the members of the group. Of course, it is given that once you are part of a certain organization, certain levels of sacrifices are essential. Self-sacrifice is always the it. Dedication should be on its peak. Perseverance is also necessary. Above all, responsibility defines the organization you belong to; because no matter what, you are willing to always extend some spare time you have to work out the missions and goals your organization are up to. In this way, you already consider your organization as your family – someone you can turn to, someone who can show you the way when things get bad. Gee! Another extra family you’ll always be grateful with. By this means, you are not only building a good sense of relationship with your organization mates, you are also going beyond your limitations as an individual, only you are unconscious with it. You are beginning to extend your capabilities and nurture your strengths. You are beginning to overcome your weaknesses. You are definitely forming a new you, a more confident you, a competent you.
So why say it’s always easier for one to be alone and feel aloof than when one is with the company of his family and friends, when it’s always better to be with the latter in a mutual relationship of harmony and love.
