How’s your quest to becoming the class genius? It’s just so fantastic, right? When you finally draw the class’ attention every time you speak up and mouth your view, it’s as if you get hold of every rational opinion in your class could ever think of. Now you know it could actually be very easy when before you thought it wasn’t.
I’ve here one additional tip for all teens out there. Yes, it’s nice to be the class genius but it will always be better to be someone wrapped with both brain-and-heart expertise. This time, let’s prove the norm wrong that NOT all smart people are dumb-hearted people. Stand out proud because not only you can handle academic related terms, but as well as lover-related issues.
Tip # 2. The survivor. Ah, getting over someone who told you he’d love you forever and then immediately set out to trample on your heart. This may seem like the toughest one to fake. After all, how can you even have the time to pretend you’re okay when you’re too busy picking up the pieces of your broken heart? Well, good news! Pretending you’re over someone is easier to do than anything else because you always have your friends to help you out.
First thing you must do is to STOP pretending s/he still loves you. Sometimes, that’s the kindest thing you can do to yourself. Accept that not all relationships work out. Then plaster a smile on your face and be brave.
Ask your friends to help you with your brave front. Keep a buddy with you as much as possible so if you see your guy/girl with his/her new girl/buy, someone can help you keep calm even when you’re freaking out inside. Your barkada can also make it easier for you to look happy because with all their antics and jokes, you’d be laughing a lot – and a laughing you is something your ex must see. Guys are attracted to girls who are happy and fun. They don’t like weepy, clingy, desperate kind. At the same time, girls are attracted to boys-next-door, knight-in-shining-armor kind. They don’t like insensitive, tactless, clumsy boys. So, have fun with your friends that won’t be very hard to do, right? Who knows? You just might meet someone who is really cool and who will be drawn to the laughter in your eyes.
See, the secret of making it in life is actually simple: Believe in yourself. Confidence is all you need to conquer the world. So, you’re already the class valedictorian and you have to attend the victory party? No sweat, because your confidence will make you the life of the party—pronto. You just don’t know it, but just be spontaneous as you can and for sure you can handle your party. You’re always smarter than you think you are. You just won the student council but your guy/girl left you for someone else? No need to postpone the celebration. Just put on a smile, round up your friends, and have some fun. Your smile might be a bit wobbly but when you force yourself to think of the great things to come, you will! And you’ll be so glad that you faked it, because in the end – as cliché as this sounds – you’ll make it!
